My name is Liz Amorosia and I am a realist artist living and working in Southern California. Through years of self discovery and hard work I have come to realize that perfection isn’t the goal, authenticity of emotion is. My technique will always be there for me, but I have learned to focus on how my subject makes me feel within what I am experiencing in my day to day life. While Im still fascinated with the technical importance of discerning weight, light, and texture; I am now more concerned with emoting through my art. I want to feel, but just as importantly, I want to make you feel. My paint application tends to move between tightly rendered and vaguely impressionist depending on the subject and my emotional reaction to that subject. I strive to create imagery that is true to both my subject and my own visceral reaction to that subject. I aspire to one day have my art and soul give to others the way that art and everyday human interaction has given to me.
